Wash coloured clothes first in cold water (separate washes for black/dark colours from light/bright coloured ones, if possible). Wash whites that are being bleached last in hot water and then wipe the inside of the wash tub with a cloth or paper towelling to get off any residual bleach.
It sounds like the rinse cycle of your machine isn't working well, because the bleach should be completely rinsed away in the final cycle and not be in the machine to damage the next load of laundry.

I'm not sure there's anything *you* are doing wrong. But you might try wiping out the inside of your washing machine after you wash a hot load. Or you might even try running the washer with no laundry in it.
Or you could try washing your darks then lights, rather than the other way around.

Always wash your colors first.
maybe you can try washing your colored clothes first and when I do my whites I always put the bleach in first while the washer is filling then add my clothes. If this doesn't work maybe your spilling it all over when adding to the washer and spots of bleach is still on the washer when you add the color clothes. Good Luck
This is weird, I'm guessing you are spilling bleach somewhere on the machine... try doing colors first, then whites, then wipe down the machine, I've never had this happen.. sorry.
